TÖMER Orientation Programme Held 

The orientation programme organised by our Turkish Language Teaching Research and Application Centre (TÖMER) on 16 February 2026 was held with the enthusiastic participation of students. 

As part of the programme, Dr Nurdan GÜMÜŞKAYA, Head of the TÖMER Unit, provided comprehensive information about the Turkish language preparation process. The presentation included detailed information for students about the programme's objectives, course content, attendance requirements, assessment and evaluation system, materials and digital platforms used, cultural adaptation process, and communication and support mechanisms. 

The programme also featured an introduction to the sports and cultural activities carried out at Galata University by Durmuş GÜLMEZ, Head of our University's Health, Culture and Sports Department, who answered questions from students. 

On behalf of the International Office Coordination, Mahmut IŞILDAK and Devrim ARAP answered students' questions regarding registration, residence, and visa procedures and provided information about the Erasmus Programme. 

The orientation programme aimed to help students adapt more quickly and smoothly to university life and the Turkish language learning process.
